It is my ernest wish for people to experience the opportunity of having a great boss at least once in their lifetime. I wish for everyone to be so lucky. I have been fortunate to have one over the years and I am working for a great one now. Yet, I went for a night of Tribute held in her honour a couple of days ago.
You see, this boss was loved by many and everyone had their favourite stories and quotes she used over time, but I didn’t enjoy that privilege. She came into my life, just like a candle in the wind, a flicker of light- here one moment and gone the next. She gave me a huge opportunity, then got out of the way. In everything, all I can say is God gives and God takes, blessed be His holy name.
It might sound trite but I can honestly say that Mrs. Amaka Ndoma-Egba was a great boss, and I’m willing to say that anyone who worked for her must have felt the same way. Her love and passion for her legacy, children and members of staff was undeniable and her commitment unyielding. She was the very essence of style and beauty.
I think it’s only fair to say that the world has lost one helluva boss. I know I speak the minds of many when I say that she will be missed.
Gone before us too soon, certainly the precious memories of you, though short-lived for me, will remain evergreen in our hearts.
I will end with these lines by Shannon Alder,
“Carve Your Name On Hearts, Not Tombstones. A Legacy Is Etched Into The Minds Of Others And The Stories They Share About You. ”
Continue to shine like the candle you were, only this time, you have returned to the source of life, watching over us from above.
Farewell boss!
