Home Motherhood An Ode To Mama

An Ode To Mama

by Nikimandi_Admin

Mum like no other

I got to grow up with a billion dollar mother

Who taught me to believe in me

Who stood by me since I was a little kid

When the cold hands of death snatched my loving father away from us

You were always there for me

Shielding me from all harm

Giving me the best advice ever

Mum like no other

You were my first friend

Still my best friend and my forever friend

How can I ever repay your kindness towards me?

I don’t say this because you birthed me

But you are one of a kind

You are exceptional with a heart of gold

You are an angel on earth, forged from the finest treasures

Mum like no other

Thank God for giving me the privilege to be called your daughter

It’s an honor that I won’t trade for anything in the world

I still remember when the tides were low

Who else was there for me but you?

You taught me to be brave

Even in the toughest tribulations

I always came out stronger and better just because I had you

Mum like no other

You are the embodiment of the Triple L- life, love and laughter

Even at times when I am not there,

You are adored by the numerous lives you have touched and guided

You are a career person, cook, nurse, perfect house keeper and a whole lot more

My modern Renaissance Mom

Always putting me first

So compassionate, wise and God fearing

Mum like no other

You are simply so many things to me

My role model and chief confidant

A meld of this entity is hard to find

And so I thank my lucky stars

And of course God my creator

That it is you I call mother

I choose to celebrate you always

Mum like no other

The prayers and wish I have for you

If only you could see the plans I have in mind for you

May the good Lord bless you beyond measure

And give you long life and all the happiness you deserve and more

And make you feel protected

Just as I feel protected

By the angel I call Mum.

Mom like no other

Even though I know it is not enough

 I’ll still say THANK YOU

To you, my mum of inestimable value

The best mum in the www…

When was the last time you did something nice for your mum? Or even said something nice to her? This post serves as a reminder to always do that consciously. It’s appalling but you would be surprised at the number of people who don’t. And to think that some don’t even remember!!

Sharing is Caring!

XOXO,

Yours Truly.
