Growing up, I used to fantasize about how I wanted to have girls first and fast forward to years later, the dream finally came true. I have always shared a really close bond with my mom, still do and that’s an experience I wished to have again with my girls.
I am a proud mother to three beautiful and enchanting daughters. Having them is one of the biggest blessings of my life, one that is beyond words. I am also the doting and ecstatic aunt to numerous gorgeous, funny and clever nieces and nephews too.
As you may have guessed, my daughters and I are inseparable. We bake, we cook, we dance and we play around halfway to EUROPE!
Sometimes, we sit together and imagine what and where we will be in years to come. We even talk about our bodies and discuss what parts do what- YES. It’s never too early to have such talks… you only have to take it down or up to their level.
The girls are like a miniature version of me, (my minime’s’) and wow are they caring??? That’s an understatement of the century. Their care is so smothering, one could choke. Hubby adores the grounds they walk on. He would do anything for them. Infact, they are his trophies and knowing this, I use them to get what I want sometimes… don’t we all? HUBZ PLEASE DON’T READ THIS! LOL.
Now, some may wonder what it feels like for me, having three daughters in a country where having a son surpasses all other… more like an ambition for some people. When you are married into a family where your mother in law is like your second mother and her daughters are more or less your sisters in love, you would understand what it means to be among the favored ones. I know I am. #blushing. They are completely passionate about the girls and no sort of pressures whatsoever. This passion has actually driven me to want to be a part of this family over and over again.
Whenever I can, I assure my little ladies that I will support them in whatever good decisions they make in life. I want them to know that they can be whatever they set their minds to be… Artists or Scientists or Inventors. I will continue to walk tall for them and be the best mom I can in every possible way.
It’s an amazingly remarkable gift to have daughters because it only gets better from here. They have got to be the sweetest things on the planet. They love to cuddle; my 1 year old is still in the ‘Hold Me All The Time’ phase, which I am trying to cherish knowing that she will grow out of it soon.
The older ones go through their independent stages but still come around once in a while to press their cheeks against mine or tell me how much they love me… I melt every time. Their friendship and love for each other is so sweet and special. It’s a little intense sometimes, as sibling rivalries almost always get in the way as usual, but it’s adorable to watch.
